Curriculum Policy・Diploma policy

1.Achievement goal at the time of graduation

  • Based on a high level specialized knowledge and skills, theories and established evidence are sought, and implementation and new skills are developed in response.
  • Team medical care is practiced by coordinating with various experts, and exercise leadership with a new viewpoint and strategies.

2.Policy of education course formulation

 The purpose of general core subjects is to acquire common knowledge and academic research methods while preparing a specific thesis, in order to develop co-medical staff members who can play a leading role in the medical team.
 Specialized subjects are comprised of basics in a special field, and expert lectures of each field to gain specialized knowledge. In addition, basic specialized lectures, practice, specialized research in associated fields are provided as integrated guidance to prepare a master’s thesis.

3.Performance evaluation criteria

  • Accreditation for classes is carried out by written (oral) test or report.
  • Examinations are carried out by the teacher in charge of the class subject as needed.
  • Grading of each class is set as 5 types- Superior, Excellent, Good, Fair, and Poor, with Superior, Excellent, Good, and Fair determined to be passing.

Superior (score of 100-90) High level specialized academic knowledge and ability are acquired and can be mutually applied.
Excellent (score of 89-80) High level specialized academic knowledge and ability can be applied.
Good (score of 79-70) High level specialized academic knowledge is acquired.
Fair (score of 69-60) The required minimum of special academic knowledge and ability is acquired.
Poor (score 59-0) The required minimum special academic knowledge and ability are not acquired.

4.Academic screening

 Evaluation of a thesis for a degree shall be strictly carried out by a review board comprised of a chief examiner and two vice-examiners, and a final examination.

【Department of Nursing Science】

1.Outline of the Education Course
 In the Department of Nursing, class curriculum focuses on maintenance of health and enhancement of home care and hospice at each stage of life in consideration of support in living, as well as to address issues which will become the basic concept of education, ethics, and management science. The specialized knowledge and ethics of nursing science is further developed, and training human resources who can play a leading role as an educator and researcher in the development of ability, clinical and regional healthcare activities.
2.Achievement goals
1) Knowledge and understanding
  • Acquisition of high level specialized knowledge to better understand specialized regions.
  • Comprehensively and multifacetedly understand specialized knowledge of other fields which are closely related to the specialized field.
2) Characteristic abilities of the corresponding field
  • Implement nursing with evidence at clinical and regional healthcare activity sites.
  • Discern the real nature of a problem at a clinical or regional healthcare activity site, analyze it ethically and scientifically, and then provide solutions.
  • Implement practical training and study at educational agencies related to health, medicine, and welfare.
3) General abilities
  • Acquire the ability to carry out self-management, cooperation, and presentation under various situations.
  • Through nursing science as an applied science, can contribute to the development of the healthcare field, in coordination with experts in other fields.

【Department of Radiation Science】

1.Outline of the Education Course
 Diagnosis and treatment are carried out based on the information obtained at each level of the body, include organ, tissue, and cellular. In the Department of Radiation Science, information from the living body is evaluated and analyzed using biological, chemical, and physical methods, aiming for application and development in diagnosis and treatment. To do so, we aim to train human resources who can play a leading role in the healthcare field, as well as acquire the necessary knowledge and skill.
2.Achievement goals
1) Knowledge and understanding
  • Acquisition of high level specialized knowledge in each field of the Department of Radiation Science.
  • Understanding of reactivity of radiation at the macro and micro levels.
  • Understanding of the diversity of different fields and areas related to healthcare.
2) Characteristic abilities of the corresponding field
  • Can acquire high level knowledge and skills in the specialized field.
  • Based on the high level knowledge and skills in the specialized field, make new application and development in radiology.
  • Aim to acquire higher certification, such as a medical physicist.
3) General abilities
  • Acquire logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Acquire the ability to search and read information published in English.
  • Develop qualities of a leader in the healthcare field, with both ethics and responsibility in medicine.

【Department of Bioscience and Laboratory Medicine】

1.Outline of the Education course
 Cells are the smallest unit in the living body, and as a group, form tissues and organs. However, analysis of their mechanism is possible by follow from the living body level to the cell level, and achievement will lead to the development of diagnosis, treatment, etc. In this field, this bi-directional education and study is set as the central core and aims to develop human resources who can analyze vital function and clinical condition.
2.Achievement goals
1) Knowledge and understanding
  • Acquisition of high level specialized knowledge in each field of biodynamics.
  • Understanding the relationship of events and phenomena at the cellular and molecular level.
  • Possessing an interest in research areas in other fields and desire to understand such.
2) Characteristic abilities of the corresponding field
  • Can acquire high level knowledge and skills in the specialized field.
  • Based on the high level knowledge and skills in the specialized field, able to carry out analytical research of new functions in biogenic substances and experimental technical development.
3) General abilities
  • Acquire logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Acquire communication ability in order to play an active role in international society.
  • Develop qualities of a leader in the healthcare field, who is conscious of the ethics and responsibilities in medicine.

【Department of Comprehensive Rehabilitation Science】

1.Outline of the Education course
 Based on physical therapy and occupational therapy, research such as evaluation and treatment for the recovery of exercise and mental disability, and improvement of activities of daily living, is developed in order to influence life environmental factors to health and disability, are developed. In addition, we aim to train human resources who can develop new medical techniques and medical devices, acquire high level specialized skills to contribute to healthcare, and to exercise leadership on the practical site.
2.Achievement goals
1) Knowledge and understanding
  • Systematic understanding of specialized knowledge regarding rehabilitation.
  • Aim to acquire high level specialized knowledge to better understand specialized areas of rehabilitation.
2) Characteristic abilities of the corresponding field
  • Acquire a viewpoint that can understand disabilities over a wide range, from human exercise, life activities, and disability prevention.
  • Acquire the ability to establish a scientific basis for evaluation and treatment, prevent disabilities which are addressed during rehabilitation.
  • Identify environmental factors in life that affect health and disability, and search for the cause and effect mechanism, and develop the ability to explain such.
3) General abilities
  • Acquire the ability to perform high level communication and presentation in various situations.
  • Acquire practical ability to work for the improvement of actual conditions in healthcare, and the ability to play the role of a high level expert who can contribute to regional healthcare.
